She began her career in Singapore in communications at a global shipping company before moving into government relations in the United States where she spearheaded federal and state advocacy initiatives, secured grant funding for infrastructure projects, and led tax credit programs. Throughout her career she has cultivated a reputation for strategic relationship building and expanding high value networks.

Ailsa holds bachelor's degrees in international Affairs and German from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in international relations from King’s College London.
